On Sunday, February 14th, Russia deployed the Zelyony Dol, a Black Sea-based patrol ship armed with cruise missiles, in the Mediterranean. The warship was sent to join the Russian naval group near Syria. The cruise missile ship was accompanied by the Kovrovets minesweeper.
The Zeleny Dol is a Buyan-M class missile corvette. It is equipped with the 3М14 cruise missiles with the range of 2,600 kilometers.
The Kovrovets minesweeper (Project 266M) is going together with the Zeleny Dol to Syria’s coasts.
