Around 52% of the British are ready to vote for leaving the EU, and 48% favor staying in the union, The Guardian reports. Currently, the majority supports Brexit – i.e. leaving the European Union. The referendum on the country's membership in the community is due to be held on June 23.

Some experts say that the situation with Brexit is a complex one from the economical point of view. Over 600 British leading economists are against it as they believe that the repercussions will have a negative impact on the economy. The government strings along with this idea, as leaving the EU could cost a lot. In this case, a British family will lose 4.3 K of pounds (or $6.1 K) annually.

Those who are against Brexit believe that if the UK votes to leave the Union, the consumers, domestic and foreign trade will fall victim to it. Exit from the EU will affect some important agreements. The prior contracts will be altered if the country leaves the EU Customs Union. Thus, the customs duties which are zero now can be increased, and the situation with the access to the internal EU market can become extremely sharp.

The internal EU market can survive only if the four freedoms of movement are provided: goods, services, capital and people. This issue will also become questionable in case of Brexit. The so-called economic revenge on the part of the EU is not ruled out. Most likely, even the third countries which have legally revised agreements on the trade that the UK has been enjoying within the EU will step in. As a result, Brexit can bring more disadvantages than advantages, especially for large businesses.
