On June 16, Saturday, the Ministry of Transport confirmed that Moscow reimposes a temporary ban on flights to Turkey. Russian President Vladimir Putin is the one who initiated the move to bring new flight connection regime with Turkey into force.

The reports say that the decision to impose a ban on regular flights was taken during an overnight meeting which was organized in connection with the attempted coup in Turkey.
